Why a quiz instead of a mega-list
Most “best espresso machines” pages are affiliate piles. The Ideation Lab lock for New Espresso is the opposite: answer four questions, get a shortlist, then read a review or shop a disclosed link. If we cannot explain the why, it does not make the list.
The four questions
Budget for the machine (we still remind you about the grinder). Counter space. Milk drinks or not. First setup or upgrade. That is enough to separate a Flair from a Bambino from a Profitec without pretending we measured 40 boilers in a warehouse lab.
What the shortlist is allowed to say
Sometimes the shortlist is “buy the grinder.” Sometimes it is “stay manual.” Those are valid outcomes. We disclose affiliate links on every shop button. Opinions are ours.
