Who it’s for. First machines on a small counter, especially if cappuccinos and lattes are the daily drink.
Who it’s not for. People who want a 58 mm workflow, a real boiler, or to stop buying Breville baskets in year two.
What it is
A narrow thermocoil machine that is ready in seconds, with a 54 mm portafilter and an auto steam wand that will get a new home barista to drinkable milk. It is a first machine, not a forever 58 mm station.
Shot outcomes
Stock pressurized baskets will lie to you. Swap to a 54 mm precision basket and pair it with the Encore ESP or better. Then the Plus can pull a sweet double. It will not hide a cheap grind.
Milk
This is why the Plus exists. Auto texturing is the feature we will not sneer at on a tight weekday counter. Manual steam is there when you want it.
